"The exhibition focuses on the large photo collection of the former NINO commercial archive. The collection, supervised by the city museum, contains approximately 100.000 industrial and fashion photographies, generated between 1950 and 1990 by order of NINO. Thus internationally renowned artists like Helmut Newton, Charles Wilp, Rico Puhlmann, F.C. Gundlach, Frank Horvat, Regina Relang and Christa Peters delivered fascinating photographic material for NINO. The photos were published in the course of the intensive marketing for the fabric trade mark "NINO". In the past they were illustrating publicity campaigns, advertising series, company and fashion coverages as well as the promotion on the big textile fairs like Frankfurt's "Interstoff". For today's viewer this photographies illustrate in an inimitable way the whole development of the textile working environment and fashion from the 1950s to the 1990s."
